Mirka Microstar 5" Grip is a premium film-backed abrasive developed for matte finishing and paint rectification on topcoat and clear-coat applications. It produces a fine, uniform scratch pattern that can be polished out easily, making it an excellent choice for professional surface correction and finishing work.

Its smooth film backing creates a consistent abrasive surface for greater control and a high-quality finish. A special stearate coating reduces clogging during use, helping the abrasive maintain its performance and last longer than traditional sanding products.

Designed for Controlled, Consistent Sanding:

Microstar is suitable for correcting painted and high-gloss surfaces where a refined sanding result is required before polishing. Its grip backing attaches securely to compatible hook-and-loop backing pads while allowing quick and convenient disc changes.

For optimal results, Mirka recommends using Microstar with a 5mm interface pad. The interface adds flexibility and helps maintain controlled abrasive contact with the work surface.

Microstar is intended exclusively for dry sanding and should not be used for wet-sanding applications.
